    Call for Sensometrics tutorials!

Tutorial proposals are invited for the upcoming Sensometrics Tutorial Day, to be held in Montevideo, Uruguay on April 9th, 2018, just in advance of the full meeting.

We anticipate sufficient interest to justify holding morning and afternoon tutorials. The tutorial duration will be approximately 3 hours (including a 20-minute break).

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, Pieter Punter. Pieter was a founding member of the Sensometric Society, and co-owner and research director of OP&P in the Netherlands. He has been active in the field of sensory consumer research since the 1980s, and always an enthusiastic and thought-provoking participant at scientific meetings. Many of us have fond memories of Pieter, and he will be sadly missed. A condolence registry is available should you wish to leave a message:

We were saddened to hear of the death of our friend and colleague André Arbogast, who passed away suddenly on August 18, 2016 at the age of 56. André was a very active and respected member of the sensory community and a long-time member and supporter of the Sensometric Society. He was well known especially to Fizz software users, and he helped to establish connections between different teams in France and worldwide. The European Sensory Society (E3S) has organized the collection of tributes in remembrance; please visit for details.
